Astro's Moonbin found dead at home

20 Apr – Moonbin, a member of K-Pop's Astro, has recently passed away.

The shocking news was revealed to the public by his music label Fantagio on 20 April, saying that the singer has left "to become a star in the sky."

"All of the other Astro members, his colleague artists and employees at Fantagio are deeply mourning him with great grief and shock," the company said, adding that they hope the public will refrain from making speculations.

As reported on Korea Times, the police revealed that Moonbin's manager found the singer dead at his home in southern Seoul after he came to visit. Prior to the revelation, his manager stated that Moonbin did not respond to his calls.

The police have found no evidence of foul play nor a suicide note. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

Making his debut with Astro in 2016, the singer launched his first subunit Moonbin & Sanha with fellow member Sanha in 2020.

The duo was expected to perform in Busan next month as part of the 2030 World Expo.

He was 25.
