BATU KAWAN, Jan 13 (Bernama) -- Penang-based property development and real estate investment group, Aspen Group, has appointed Kerjaya Prospek (M) Sdn Bhd (KPSB) as the main contractor for the RM617 million construction of Vivo Executive Apartment and its Phase 2, Viio (Viio), here today.
Vivo Executive Apartment would consist of three 48-storey blocks, housing a total of 1,530 units of executive apartments, a nine-storey car park podium, community recreational facilities and shop lots.
Meanwhile, Viio, which is located adjacent to Vivo, would feature one 46-storey block and one 48-storey block, with a total of 980 executive apartments.
Aspen Group managing director A Anilarasu said that around 85 per cent of Vivo Executive Apartment has been sold since the property project was first previewed in April last year, while Viio would be introduced in the second quarter of this year .
He said that the flagship development would also benefit Batu Kawan and boost the economy in the vicinity as the rise in population would help to sustain businesses and commercial developments.
"The construction works for Vivo are scheduled to commence by Feb 14 this year, to be completed by April 2023. As for Viio, we expect it to be finished a year after (Vivo is completed),” he said at the press conference after the signing of the agreement between Aspen Group and Kerjaya Prospek here.
The signing ceremony was also witnessed by state Housing, Local Government and Town and Country Planning committee chairman Jagdeep Singh Deo and Seberang Perai Mayor Datuk Rozali Mohamud.
