Ukrainian soldiers are deploying a modernized version of a Soviet-era multiple-launch rocket system on the battlefield, according to Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL).Footage published by the outlet on Tuesday, August 9, shows the upgraded system, which Ukrainians are calling Bureviy, and soldiers in action.The Bureviy is “a deep modernization of the 9P140 Uragan self-propelled multiple rocket launch system,” according to Ukroboronprom, the Ukrainian aerospace and defense company that produces the machine.According to RFE/RL, the upgraded system is helping soldiers on the battlefield. “There’s a big difference,” Ukrainian soldier Valeriy said in the video.In a statement posted on Saturday, August 6, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the government is “doing everything to get yet more effective and modern weapons.” Credit: Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty via Storyful
