Ashley Chu will be leaving TVB
25 Sep – Ashley Chu recently confirmed that she will be leaving TVB after her contract ends.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who joined the company following her stint in the Miss Hong Kong 2013, shared that her decision to leave was made as she felt that it was time to go out and see what's waiting for her outside of the company.
"I will continue to shoot my new drama and will not officially leave until shooting is completed in December. I hope I can put the skills I learned to a good use," she said.
She also shared the news on social media, writing, "Please advise me in the future. You are welcome to send messages to my inbox to inquire about work matters."
Ashley joined the company in 2013 and has worked in several TV series as well as hosting shows for the company. However, the actress was forced to take a leave of absence for a year after she was caught in a cheating scandal with her "Story of Zom-B" co-star and married man Jackson Lai in 2020.
Following her return, she was praised for her performance in the TV series, "Narcotic Heroes".
