Ash Swept From Mall Roof as Mexico's Popocatepetl Volcano Erupts

Volcanic ash from Popocatepetl was swept from the roof of a shopping mall in Puebla, Mexico, on Sunday, May 21.

Video shared to Twitter, by user @ceetsa, shows a person wiping away thick ash from the mall’s glass roof.

On Monday, Mexico’s National Center for Disaster Prevention issued a yellow phase three warning following days of successive eruptions, urging people to avoid the volcano “due to the danger of falling ballistic fragments.”
