Ash Blankets Spanish Island of La Palma Amid Ongoing Volcanic Eruptions

The Cumbre Vieja volcano on the Spanish island of La Palma dumped a shower of volcanic ash on Wednesday, November 3, according to the Institute of Natural Products and Agrobiology-Superior Council of Scientific Investigations (IPNA-CSIC).

This video by the IPNA-CSIC shows trees poking above ash on La Palma. The IPNA-CSIC said that local plant life including mosses, are being severely affected by the volcanic ash.
