Arrests made as London pro-Palestine protesters mark one year of Israel-Hamas conflict

Arrests were made as thousands of Pro-Palestine protesters gathered in London on Saturday, 4 October, to mark one year of the Israel-Hamas conflict.

Demonstrators in a march organised by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign and other groups gathered at Russell Square to walk to Whitehall.

A counter-protest, organised by Stop The Hate, also took place.

As of 3:25pm fifteen arrests had been made including seven public order offences, three of which were racially aggravated, the Metropolitan Police said.

Authorities said they were made aware of posts showing people holding placards with messages of support for Hezbollah.
