Arrest after man in 20s dies on railway line at East Acton
A man has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after a man died on railway tracks in west London.
Police and paramedics were called to East Acton railway station just after 11pm last Friday, April 19, to a report of a casualty on the tracks.
A man in his 20s from the Waltham Forest area was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and has since been bailed with conditions, said British Transport Police (BTP).
The force said extra “high-visibility” police patrols are taking place in the area to provide reassurance to local people.
The deceased man’s family are being supported by specialist officers.
BTP detectives are investigating the circumstances that led up to his death, and have asked anyone with information to get in touch.
