Arrest Made After Protesters Clash at Drag Story Hour in Queens

At least one person was arrested after protesters clashed at a Drag Story Hour event in New York City on Thursday, December 29, local media reported.

Footage recorded by Sarah Balistreri shows protesters in support of the event – in which drag queens read books to children – outside the Queens Public Library in Jackson Heights.

Local media reported that at least one person was arrested after demonstrators in support of and against the event clashed.

Earlier this month two women were arrested after entering the apartment building of Manhattan City Council member Erik Bottcher, who had participated in a drag queen story hour event at the Andrew Heiskell Braille and Talking Book Library.
