The Armie HammerTime Podcast launched today with an interview with comedian Tom Arnold.
“Some of you are going to love this and some of you are going to f*cking hate it. I’m starting a podcast. The original idea of the podcast was sort of the concept that throughout the course of the day every single person you interact with knows at least one thing that you don’t so teach me what that one thing is,” he said in an Instagram video to publicize the podcast.
“I want to have long form, interesting conversations with people who have tools or skills or have acquired wisdom or even just no random sh*t that I don’t know. I want to learn, and that’s very much is still the sort of core idea of what it is that we’re trying to do with this podcast, but it’s also a journal of sorts. I’ve been gone for the last four years, and now I’m back. It’s gonna be a sort of journal, or chronicling, of putting my life back together.”
The show has launched as a video podcast on YouTube as well as an audio feed on Apple. It does not appear to have been produced or distributed by any of the major podcast companies.
The podcast comes after Hammer appeared on Bill Maher’s podcast Club Random earlier this year.
The podcast follows accusations of abuse from a number of women. His ex-girlfriend Efrosina Angelova accused him of rape, while Courtney Vucekovich claimed he subjected her to emotional abuse and wanted to eat one of her ribs and Paige Lorenze said he “left her covered in bruises”.
Hammer denied the incidents and the LA County District Attorney declined to indict Hammer, citing insufficient evidence.
He was the subject of a Discovery+ documentary series House of Hammer.
