Armie Hammer knows he will eventually have to explain his myriad of controversies in recent years to his children.

On the inaugural episode of Hammer's brand-new podcast The Armie HammerTime Podcast on Monday, Oct. 28, the Social Network star, 38, acknowledged that his children will one day learn about his controversies while interviewing comedian and actor Tom Arnold. Hammer faced allegations of physical and sexual abuse in 2021.

While speaking with Arnold, 65, about how they talk to their children about adult situations going on in their lives, Hammer noted that the notion that his kids will one day be able to search about him online is "really scary for me."

"I'm sure you're so honest that you'll have those conversations," Arnold said, to which Hammer replied, "100 percent, when it's time."

Hammer shares two children — Harper, 9, and Ford, 7 – with his ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers, with whom he settled his divorce in 2023.

Hammer touched on parenting earlier in the podcast episode as well, when he noted that getting sober has helped him rise to the level of responsibility needed for his young children.

"I look at how my sobriety has affected my parenting and my ability to show up as a parent," he said. "That's one of the things that I'm really grateful [for] in terms of where I'm at with my life. I get to actually be a dad."

Hammer launched his new podcast some two months after he moved back to Los Angeles. In a video he shared to Instagram on Oct. 28, Hammer said that he views the project as "a journal of sorts," as he attempts to revive his career, more than two years after he last appeared in a movie.

Chambers, 42, also returned to living in Los Angeles in recent months. She and their children had been living in the Cayman Islands since the COVID-19 pandemic.

In April, Chambers said on an episode of the reality series Grand Cayman: Secrets in Paradise filmed in early 2023 that she and Hammer's children had "no idea what's going on" with their father in the public eye.

"My children are visibly happy. They should think that their dad is a superhero," Chambers said in that episode. "And to be fair, he has been to them. He's been the best he can be."
