Arjo Atayde is excited for first big screen lead role

17 Jan – After many years of playing antagonistic roles and supporting characters, Arjo Atayde admitted that he is happy for the opportunity to be the lead in his new movie, "Tol".

On 14 January, the actor took to Instagram to share a photo of the upcoming movie, writing, "All my life, I've always dreamt of being a comedian! To be honest, I don't even know how I ended up doing drama and action. Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful, grateful, and blessed to have had the opportunity to do such roles."

Atayde stated that he would never have expected that after seven years of concentrating on being a villain in drama or action, his first lead role would be in a comedy.

"I tell you this, God has his ways of making your dreams come true. It might not be now but if you work enough for it, it will happen," he added.

The upcoming movie, directed by Miko Livelo, co-stars Jessy Mendiola, Joross Gamboa, and Ketchup Eusebio. It is scheduled for release on 30 January.
