Ardern says APEC moving away from fossil fuel subsidies

Ardern spoke of her pride in APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) taking steps to identify new environmental goals while tackling climate change and sustainability.

"What on earth are government's subsidising fossil fuel use to the tune of some $500 billion USD every year? I'm pleased that APEC is turning the tide on these subsidies by taking concrete steps to tackle them," Ardern to the Summit.
