Who says you can't have the odd sneaky Christmas present early?! Meghan Markle and Prince Harry certainly think so, as they have treated us all a couple of days beforehand by releasing their family Christmas card for 2020 yesterday. And this year, the Sussexes have done something a little different for their festive greetings.
Instead of sharing a family photo, which is commonplace among royals and something Meghan and Harry have done themselves for the past two years, the Duke and Duchess decided to release an artist's impression of a photograph this year. The picture features Meghan and Harry in what looks to be their Montecito garden, playing with their young son Archie and one of their dogs, a beagle named Guy.
And there's only one thing we're really thinking when we look at the cute family picture: just how big 'baby' Archie has got! Harry and Meghan's son is now one-and-a-half, and in the image shared by the Sussexes this week, he looks now to have officially morphed from baby into toddler.
In the image, Archie is seen wearing little blue jeans and a navy zip up top, as dad Prince Harry holds him from behind with a mega-watt smile on his face. These guys 😍 .

When you compare this year's shot to last year's, you can really see how much Archie has grown. Look at him back then, a little crawling baby - and now he's almost like a little boy. Time is evidently passing at lightning speed, as usual...

As the Duke and Duchess of Sussex no longer have any of their own social media accounts, the 2020 Christmas card was released via one of the charities Meghan is patron for - The Mayhew.
In the caption sharing the image, the animal charity wrote: "We’re thrilled to receive wonderful Christmas wishes from our Patron, The Duchess of Sussex, who also made a personal donation, helping dogs, cats and our community. From all of us at Mayhew, thank you and Merry Christmas."
What a sweet pre-Christmas treat to help cheer everyone up from the misery that has been 2020...
