A San Francisco firefighter who was in intensive care after a freak accident involving a hose was applauded as he left hospital “in good spirits” to move to a rehabilitation center on November 18, according to the city’s fire department.
Matt Vann was injured on November 2, according to reports, when he fell and hit his head after being struck by a hose while responding to a fire. He was treated by the neuro-trauma team at San Francisco General Hospital.
