'Antarctic Blast' Brings Spring Time Snow to Tasmania

An “Antarctic blast” brought record cold temperatures and light snow to Tasmania, Australia, on November 15.

The island state’s capital Hobart recorded its coldest November temperature in 68 years, while other November minimum temperatures were also broken elsewhere according to the Bureau of Meteorology. Several cold weather warnings were in place ahead of “the Antarctic blast”.
