Anne Hathaway just wore the perfect dress for summer—and it's from a quintessential mall brand. The actress and fashion darling attended a Bvlgari event in Rome on Monday looking like a vision in a custom barely-there button-up Zac Posen for Gap Inc. shirtdress with a little help from celebrity stylist Erin Walsh.

Hathaway was photographed leaving the Bvlgari Hotel in the gown, which featured a wide collar that doubled as the dress's straps, one of which was worn down around her arm. The frock was only buttoned twice in the midsection, revealing a matching sheer corset, also Gap, that peeked out the top and created a thigh-high leg slit. She layered a pair of pleated shorts from the brand under the piece and styled the ensemble with coordinating pointed-toe pumps.

In terms of accessories, Hathaway opted for Bvlgari jewels, naturally, including a dazzling diamond necklace with a blue sapphire center stone, a silver snake wrap bracelet, coordinating earrings, and a diamond and sapphire ring.

The dress was technically a custom creation for Hathaway. However, a similar style will soon be available at gap.com, according to a press release.

Hathaway has been a longtime brand ambassador for the jewelry company—who could forget her and Zendaya's rich divorcée campaign that launched a thousand memes?—and during the event, the fashion icon opened up about what it means to her to be involved with such a storied brand.

"I am a brand ambassador, and it is a great honor to be here, especially this year," Hathaway told WWD at the event. "Because this year marks 140 years of the existence of Bulgari as a legacy, company, brand, family. And legacy is something that's very, very important to me. Craftwork is something that's very important to me."
