Anne Curtis reveals reason for giving birth in Australia

18 Sep – Anne Curtis recently admitted that it was never her intention to give birth to daughter Dahlia Amelie in Australia, adding that the decision came at the last minute.

As reported on Push, the actress who spoke to G3 San Diego's #LiveWithG3 show, shared that she had actually chosen a doctor and a hospital in the Philippines prior to her birth, but realised that being in the country just made her want to continue working instead preparing for childbirth.

"I felt that in a way that would really get me to stop working, to just kind of be here," she said, adding that being away in Australia would help her focus on her baby.

Aside from that, Curtis said that her mother Carmen also played a huge part as she wanted to be with her mother throughout the process, and have Carmen help her through it.

She also admitted that she had wanted to return to Manila a few months after giving birth, but decided to stay due to the pandemic.

"If it was just me, no problem. But now I have a little life to think of and she is top priority. Her health and safety is top priority," she said.
