Ann Hui's "Love After Love" to premiere at Venice Festival

6 Aug – Ann Hui's new movie, "Love After Love" is set to make its debut at the 77th Venice Film Festival.

As reported on HK01, the new film, which stars Eddie Peng, Janine Chang and Ma Sichun, will be shown at the festival in its out-of-competition category this September.

"Love After Love", which marks Ann's first film since 2017's "Our Time Will Come", is an adaptation of Eileen Chang's 1943 novel, "Crumbs of Ligumaloes - the First Incense Burnt".

Last week, it was revealed that Ann will be the first female Hong Kong filmmaker to be honoured with the Golden Lion Lifetime Achievement Award alongside British actress Tilda Swinton.

The 77th Venice International Film Festival will be running from 3 to 12 September.
