Anita Lee starts her own YouTube channel
23 Jan – 17 years after retiring from showbiz, Hong Kong actress Anita Lee is back - not as an artiste, but a YouTuber.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress who is most famous for her role in the sitcom "The Family Squad", recently joined the ranks of the internet influencers by launching her YouTube lifestyle channel, CanWomen - where she shares videos about her life in Canada.
The channel, which was established on 14 January, had since accumulated over 10,000 subscribers. Anita has uploaded four videos in total, with her recent one of her thanking netizens for supporting her channel.
Speaking about her decision to launch he own YouTube channel, Anita said that she felt that the online world is huge and free.
"It is free and unrestrained, just like me!" she added.
Anita joined TVB back in the early '80s after she was discovered by producer Poon Ka Tak. After starring in more than 20 TVB dramas and several other shows with various stations, the actress left the entertainment industry in 2003 after marrying Canadian stockbroker Lee Shau Ching. The two have three kids together, who are brought up in Vancouver.
