The first new update to the latest Animal Crossing since summer will finally be released on Wednesday, September 30 – bringing with it some supernatural DIY recipes, Halloween costumes and more autumn fun.
New Horizons will be getting a top-down makeover, including the option to change your skin and hair colours to blue, grey, pink and green. New seasonal items will be popping up in Nook's Cranny too, like candy.
Much like with Bunny Day this past spring, October will see players able to grow a brand new crop in line with the season: pumpkins! These pumpkins can then be used to craft Jack O' Lanterns and other seasonal DIY recipes.
On Halloween night, the returning Jack – "reigning czar of Halloween" – will arrive on your island for a night of Trick or Treating and other spooky fun!
And that's not all! Your NookLink apps within the game will be getting a complete overhaul so you can now use emojis.
These Halloween-themed features will be tiding players over until a late November update brings in a range of new features for Thanksgiving and Christmas!
A teaser tacked onto the end of this newest preview revealed that the late November update will indeed be bringing back the Harvest Festival mascot Franklin the turkey and Toy Day's Jingle the reindeer!
What are you waiting for? Start getting your island ready for the spooky redesign that you'll be spending all of October working on!
Animal Crossing: New Horizon's Autumn Update will be rolled out on Wednesday, September 30 worldwide.
