‘Angry’ father of Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool target tells son to ‘leave’ Barcelona ‘tomorrow’
Ansu Fati’s father has told him to leave Barcelona as he “deserves much more” than his current treatment from manager Xavi.
The Spain international has made nine starts this season for the Catalan giants with the young forward making another 14 appearances in the league from the substitutes’ bench.
Fati has struggled with injuries over the past few seasons since making his breakthrough at the club but he has almost tripled his minutes on the pitch this tern compared to last.
However, his “very angry” father doesn’t think he has played enough, with Fati contributing three goals and three assists in his 23 La Liga appearances, and he is now encouraging his son to leave Barcelona.

“Ansu does not want to leave Barcelona but I want to see him succeed,” Bori Fati told Spanish radio station Cope.
“I won’t go to the stadium anymore, I’m very angry with the club. In a month we will meet with Jorge Mendes, for sure.
“It bothers me that Ansu plays so little. We’re talking about a player that is a Spain international and came from La Masia. He deserves much more than that.
“I don’t know why Xavi does not play Ansu. He must have his reasons. Ansu is not disgusted with him as Xavi was always his idol. But me… I am very angry as a father.
“Mateu Alemany tells me that Ansu is part of the club’s heritage. As a father, I have told Ansu that it is better for him to leave. But Ansu has told me that he does not agree with me on this. He wants to stay.
“If it was up to me, I would leave Barcelona tomorrow. I told Ansu that if the situation didn’t change, we would have to leave, but he tells me that I’m wrong.”
One recent report insisted that Barcelona were prepared to sell Fati in the summer transfer window to raise funds for new signings with Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool all linked.
CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs recently mulled over Fati’s potential suitors despite Barcelona boss Xavi insisting he wasn’t for sale.
Jacobs said: “At this stage, we have Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal as the three Premier League clubs who are doing due diligence on Fati via the player side.
“I don’t think there’s as much to the Bayern Munich links. There is at least some encouragement, as I understand it, on the player side, that he is intrigued by the Premier League club but there remains firm discouragement from both Xavi and Joan Laporta: Fati is way down on the list of the players Barca wish to sell, so it would probably be a club-record offer for these teams to alter Barcelona’s thinking.
“Fati may also play a part if, come May, he still feels like he’s owed more minutes.
“It’s also worth noting that Manchester United are the club with a concrete historical interest in Fati, who they loved when he was a teenager a few years back.
“But for now, until the club ownership situation becomes clearer, even if Erik ten Hag and the recruitment team like the player, they can’t really move before they know whose money they’re spending.”
