Andy Cohen Thinks It'd Be 'Interesting' to Have Meghan Markle as a Real Housewife of Montecito
The 'Watch What Happens Live' host name dropped the Duchess of Sussex at BravoCon 2023 while daydreaming about possible 'Housewives' spinoffs
Meghan Markle could have a future in reality TV if Andy Cohen has anything to say about it.
The king of Bravo is interested in recruiting the Duchess of Sussex for an all-new Real Housewives spinoff, he said during a BravoCon 2023 panel. When asked if he was daydreaming about any future additions to the franchise, Cohen, 55, didn’t list a city — only a name.
"If we can get Meghan Markle, that would be interesting,” he said.

Cohen’s reference to the estranged royal comes after Meghan, 42, and her husband Prince Harry left their life in England behind for a quieter routine in the Santa Barbara suburb.
In America, there are already 11 Housewives franchises, including but not limited to Beverly Hills, Orange County, New York City, New Jersey and Salt Lake City. Twenty-one international iterations of the reality series round out the Bravo sensation.
Markle hasn’t appeared on reality TV thus far, but the former actress is best known, television-wise, for her role as Rachel Zane on Suits. Since leaving her everyday role in the British Royal Family, Meghan and Harry signed an ongoing deal with Netflix to produce several series, including the recently-released docuseries Heart of Invictus.
The Duchess is just one giant name Cohen has tried to snag for the reality franchise. In the past, the Watch What Happens Live host expressed interest in Lindsay Lohan as one potential Housewife he’d love to cast on The Real Housewives of Dubai. “Let me tell you something. It's a good idea, Jerry," he told The Talk co-host Jerry O'Connell in 2021 of rumors Lohan would appear, though she didn’t.
Other celebs Cohen has named as dream stars for the Housewives role include Vanessa Bryant, Chrissy Teigen, Julia Fox, Jana Kramer and Ayda Field Williams, who Page Six previously reported as Cohen’s wishlist.
