Andy Cohen Says 'It Was the Right Call' for Ramona Singer Not to Be at BravoCon After Alleged Racial Comment
The 'Real Housewives of New York City' alum has been the subject of recent backlash as allegations resurfaced that she used a racial slur during production of her final season

During Saturday's "Ask Andy" panel at BravoCon 2023 in Las Vegas, the Watch What Happens Live host and Real Housewives executive producer was asked about Singer's sudden absence from the convention.
The Real Housewives of New York City alum, 66, was originally slated to attend BravoCon to promote the upcoming Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy, but was pulled from her appearance amid renewed controversy over an alleged racist remark she made while filming RHONY during her final season.
Speaking on the matter, Cohen said: "I think the most that I can say is that we already shot Ultimate Girls Trip and she’s on the show, she’s not here, and that’s where we’re at."
Moderator Rachel Lindsay then chimed in, "And I’m okay with that."
In response, Cohen affirmed, "It was the right call."

Singer was an original cast member on RHONY for 13 seasons before Bravo scrapped the entire cast in favor of a more diverse group of Housewives.
On Monday, Vanity Fair published an article, resurfacing previous allegations that Singer used a racial slur during the production of her final season. According to the outlet, the slur was directed towards a Black crew member and caused complaints to be filed against Shed Media, Warner Bros. Discovery, Bravo, and NBCUniversal.
Results from an internal investigation at the time were reportedly "inconclusive," and Singer said she "never" used the slur when asked by the outlet. But after the Vanity Fair piece came out, Singer appeared to use the word in a comment to Page Six, reigniting the controversy all over again.

In the days that followed, a source told PEOPLE that Singer would not be included in BravoCon any longer. PEOPLE also confirmed that Singer was dropped as an agent with Douglas Elliman. A rep for Singer had no comment when contacted by PEOPLE.

In a January interview with The Daily Mail, Singer reflected on her departure from RHONY, saying that she was happy to start a new chapter.
"I can control my own narrative and, you know, I'm happier now and actually I'm calmer. I don't miss it at all. It was a great experience and I wouldn't trade it for anything," she said. Singer also described her experience on the show as "very stressful."
"It's time for me just to enjoy myself. And doing the show is not easy. I mean, people think it's easy. Very stressful, very stressful," she said.

BravoCon 2023 is continuing through Sunday, Nov. 5 at Caesars Forum in Las Vegas.
