Andrew Yang’s New Political Party Logo Razzed for ‘GI Joe’ and ‘Top Gun’ Similarities
Former presidential candidate Andrew Yang is attempting to get a third political party off the ground with a new PAC. It’s called the “Forward” party — but its logo is already getting ruthlessly mocked on social media.
The design boasts a red, white and blue color scheme, though the actual “forward” portion is in steel gray. The slogan reads, “Not left, not right,” with a star in between the phrases and wings on the larger portion of the image. For many, it’s evoking images of the popular “G.I. Joe” franchise.
“This GI JOE reboot sucks,” author Adam Lance Garcia joked.
: "Duke! Cobra is leading an insurrection against the United States! Should I assemble the Joes?"
: "Nope, it's time to launch a third, completely ineffective strike force." https://t.co/Li4uRsVOjn

For others, Yang’s logo more closely resembled that of Tom Cruise’s hit film “Top Gun.” Multiple people joked that they had the movie’s corresponding video game, with one person writing, “had this game for NES a kid. could never land on the aircraft carrier.”

When people weren’t cracking jokes about the logo, they were pointing out the fact that Yang’s photo was pretty clearly a screenshot from his phone. “Did no one teach tech bro Andrew Yang how to crop a photo,” actress Kylie Sparks tweeted.
“He thinks he can end the two party system when he doesn’t even know how to crop a screenshot,” another Twitter user wrote.
