Democratic candidate Andrew Yang conceded defeat in the New York City mayoral primary on Tuesday night, June 22, as early voting results came in.

“I am not going to be the next mayor of New York City based upon the numbers that have come in tonight”, Yang told a crowd gathered at an election party in Midtown.
