‘American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez,’ ‘Old Man’ Season 2 Set FX Premiere Dates

FX has announced premiere dates for a number of its new and returning shows, including “American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez.”

The newest installment in the “American Story” franchise will debut on FX with its first two episodes on Sept. 17 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Episodes will then be available to stream the next day on Hulu, while the show will stream on Disney+ internationally. As previously reported, the limited series will examine the rise and fall of Hernandez, who was a tight end for the New England Patriots of the NFL before he was convicted for murder. Josh Andrés Rivera will star as Hernandez.

FX also announced that “The Old Man” Season 2 will premiere on Sept. 12 at 10 p.m. ET/PT with the first two of its eight episodes. Episodes will then be available to stream the next day on Hulu, while the show will stream on Disney+ internationally. With a cast that includes Jeff Bridges and John Lithgow, the first season of “The Old Man” debuted in 2022.

Elsewhere, the latest documentary film from The New York Times Presents series will debut on FX on Aug. 23 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

The new comedy series “The English Teacher” created by and starring Brian Jordan Alvarez will premiere on Sept. 2 at 10 p.m. ET/PT with its first two episodes, with episodes again streaming next day on Hulu and internationally on Disney+.

Finally, the new docuseries “Social Studies” premieres Sept. 27 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX with the first two episodes of the five-episode series. All episodes will stream next day on Hulu. The series will be available on Disney+ internationally in select territories at a later date.
