‘America’s Got Talent: The Champions’ Season 2 Finale Falls 29% in Ratings From Last Year

NBC’s “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” Season 2 finale experienced a steep decline in Nielsen numbers from last year, dropping nearly 30% in ratings from the time Shin Lim won.

ABC was first in ratings with a 1.5 rating/7 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and second in total viewers with an average of 6.1 million, according to preliminary numbers. “The Bachelor” from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. averaged a 1.8/9 and 6.6 million viewers. At 10 p.m., “The Good Doctor” got a 0.9/5 and 5.2 million viewers.

NBC was second in ratings with a 1.0/5 and first in viewers with 6.3 million. “AGT: The Champions” from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. averaged a 1.2/6 and 7.6 million viewers. “Manifest” at 10 had a 0.7/4 and 3.8 million viewers.

Fox was third in ratings with a 0.9/4 and fourth in viewers with 5.1 million. At 8 p.m., “9-1-1: Lone Star” posted a 1.2/5 and 6.7 million viewers. “Prodigal Son” at 9 p.m. received a 0.7/4 and 3.6 million viewers.

CBS was fourth in ratings with a 0.6/3 and third in viewers with 5.9 million. “The Neighborhood” at 8 p.m. had a 0.9/4 and 6.4 million viewers. At 8:30 p.m., “Bob Hearts Abishola” got a 0.7/3 and 6.1 million viewers. “All Rise” at 9 p.m. received a 0.6/3 and 5.3 million viewers. “Bull” at 10 p.m. drew a 0.6/3 and 6.2 million viewers.

Univision was fifth in ratings with a 0.5/2 and in viewers with 1.6 million.

Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.3/2 and in viewers with 1 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.2/1 and in viewers with 563,000. “All American” at 8 p.m. had a 0.3/1 and 760,000 viewers. A rerun followed.
