America, enabler of the genocide in Gaza

It has become abundantly clear that American President Joe Biden’s administration, which includes his Cabinet, and Senate members are enabling Israel to carry out genocide against the Palestinian people.

This is made possible by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) – the largest pro-Israel pact in America, and other business conglomerates with interests in the US and Israel that controls both the Democrats and the Republicans.

To a certain extent, the American government is subservient to Israel. Further evidence is seen in how they direct America to veto all United Nations Security Council resolutions against this rogue state. It has also influenced the Biden administration and Congress to approve an additional US$14 billion in aid and weapons to enable Israel to continue the slaughter of Palestinians, which began late last year.

That Biden and his Cabinet are at the beck and call of the Israeli government is plain to see. All it took was for the Israeli Defence Minister, Yoav Gallant, to visit Washington, and that was enough for the Biden administration to immediately send billions of dollars worth of bombs and fighter jets to Israel to continue the genocide against the Palestinian people.

Any criticism of Israel is also considered a crime. Such is the stranglehold Israel has over the American government and its people, facilitated by top politicians in the Biden administration, some of whom hold dual citizenships – American and Israeli. Biden has also declared himself a Zionist, famously saying that “One does not have to be a Jew to be a Zionist”.

This unequivocal support by the Biden administration has prompted Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to erroneously proclaim that the American people support his massacre of the helpless Palestinians.

It is a lie, just like all the lies that Israel has perpetrated. A huge section of the American people are against their government for enabling Israel to conduct genocide against the Palestinian people.

As a means of deflecting international criticism and condemnation, accusations of complicity in the genocide which has killed over 32,000 civilians, and to camouflage the real objective of annihilating Palestinians, the US has engineered several ruses.

One of which was the dramatic theatrical stance against Israel by American Jewish senator, Chuck Schumer, a staunch supporter of Israel, who denounced Netanyahu for the killings of innocent Palestinian civilians. Schumer even went on to say that Netanyahu was an obstacle to peace. And then, there was Biden, who “pressured” Netanyahu not to undertake military operations in Rafah.

Another of its ruse was America’s recent abstention in the United Nations Security Council vote for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, thus paving the way for the approval of the resolution calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities.

The US knows that Israel would ignore the United Nations Security Council’s ceasefire resolution, as in the past. Likewise, the US would not help enforce the resolution, allowing Israel to continue with the massacre of the Palestinians.

While talking about bringing aid to Gaza and building a port to allow relief aid to flow in, Israel, at the same time, banned aid from coming in through the United Nations Relief Work Agency (UNRWA). And the US has not done anything to stop Israel from preventing aid from reaching the besieged Gaza.

Throughout all this, Biden and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken have also tried to deceive the world by asserting America’s role as the defender of democracy, human rights, justice and freedom, and its seriousness to resolve the Gaza conflict when its actions prove otherwise. America is not the paragon of justice it wants the world to believe.

Many US and Israeli-controlled media do not accurately report incidents that expose them as anti-democracy. They create the false narratives that Israel is the victim, while the Palestinians are terrorists.

The US-Israel propaganda machine will go to any extent to perpetrate these lies. They will surely undermine and discredit the findings of United Nations Special Rapporteur, Francesca Albanese, who reported that Israel’s atrocities (abetted by the US) are the worst of what humanity is capable of. Her findings implicate Israel as being guilty of genocide.

The United Nations and its agencies, The International Criminal Court, The International Court of Justice, and other subsidiary agencies will not be able to stop Israel from committing genocide because it is being enabled by the US, Britain, Germany, Canada, and the European Union.

The US will continue to create various deceptions to distract the world from their crimes and their objective of annihilating the Palestinians and Palestine, and replacing it with the ‘Greater Israel’.

Behind its veiled facade of a ‘champion’ of democracy is the true diabolical character of the United States.
