Amelia Henderson is deliberating on joining Miss Malaysia Universe 2023
9 Mar - Amelia Henderson recently admitted that she is interested in joining this year's Miss Universe Malaysia.
Speaking to Harian Metro recently, the "Pulau" actress admitted that she is currently deliberating on whether or not she should enter, and would love to gain the support of many if she decides to do so.
"I don't like to compete with other women. I'm very hesitant about that. But if I don't join now, there will not be another chance for me to do so," she said.
It is noted that the age limit for the beauty pageant is 18 to 27. Amelia turned 27 in October last year.
Amelia admitted that she is also relieved that there is no more swimwear segment of the competition, which made her more confident about joining. It has also now allowed married women and divorcees to join, which makes Amelia, who was previously married to Tunku Datuk Harrunnarasheed Putra, eligible to join.
However, the Scottish-Indian beauty stressed that she is not aiming to win, but to fulfil a childhood dream.
