Amelia Gray Hamlin Reveals What She Loves to Steal from Her Famous Parents' Closets (Exclusive)
The model confesses which high-fashion items she swipes from her mom Lisa Rinna and dad Harry Hamlin's wardrobes
Amelia Gray Hamlin doesn’t have to look far for fashion inspiration thanks to her parents, Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin, who have enviable clothing archives on hand.
“There's so many things in my dad and mom’s closets I can appreciate. I would never pick one closet [to borrow clothes from] for the day. I would have to style both of them together.” the model, 22, says while chatting with PEOPLE exclusively about her partnership with Motorola.
The trendsetter admits that her personal style covers all grounds ("chaotic" is how she describes it), but what she gravitates towards most these days is juxtaposing masculine and feminine aesthetics.

That’s where her parents’ wardrobes come into play.
“I steal (but put back) a bunch of my dad’s Calvin Klein white T-shirts and his Nike socks sometimes. He also has really comfy flannel pieces,” Hamlin reveals of the types of clothing she steals from her father. And if the actor had kept his sunglasses from the ‘90s and 2000s, she would’ve worn those too.
Then there's Rinna's closet, which Gray approaches with a totally different mindset. "From my mom, I mostly take the tighter, chicer things. I've definitely stolen my fair share of Versace.”
She adds that the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star owns a selection of designer keepsakes, which comes in handy when she wants to show up to work on set — or prepping for a fashion show — in style.
“I take whatever high-fashion things I can get my hands on from that woman's closet, that's for sure,” Hamlin confesses.

Of course, she has to share some items with her older sister Delilah Belle, 25.
“She’s my mom's shoe size, so she has had such a lucky time dipping her toes into not only my closet, but also my mom's shoe collection, which I must say is pretty major,” Hamlin adds.
At the end of the day, Hamlin says her parents are simply letting her explore her unapologetic sense of style.
“What's funny is that neither of them are ever going to comment on what I'm wearing or give me any style advice, because most of the time when I show up to their house I'm in such an insanely weird outfit. They just know that I'm going to do my own thing.”

Hamlin is slowly curating her own clothing archive, a lesson learned from her mom who, she says, has expressed that “one of her biggest regrets” in life was not archiving to the best of her abilities.
“I want the niche things that nobody will ever be able to have," she says, adding that she loves to take home memorabilia from the runway presentations she's walked in.
One of those prized possessions includes an exclusive Alaïa lab coat, usually worn by the brand’s couture atelier members.
“I asked my dresser after my fitting if she could please bring me one and she didn't forget. I wore it as my robe backstage and then I took it home."
