Andrew Garfield's anticipated 'Chicken Shop Date' with Amelia Dimoldenberg will be posted on Oct. 18
Andrew Garfield is officially making his appearance on Amelia Dimoldenberg's YouTube interview series Chicken Shop Date after two years of flirty banter between the pair.
Dimoldenberg, 30, first teased the anticipated episode on Oct. 11 captioning the Instagram post, "the one you’ve been waiting for." The photo showed her sitting across from the 41-year-old We Live in Time actor while she took a bite of chicken.
Dimoldenberg then shared a teaser video on Instagram and X (formerly known as Twitter) on Oct. 14 with the simple caption "out Friday :)." In the clip, the pair sat down at a table and exchanged flirty glances before saying "hi" to one another.

The teaser clip immediately went viral online, gaining over 18 million views on X and 10.5 million views on Instagram. Fans shared their excitement for the new episode online and one fan joked that watching the clip "felt like i was intruding IMMEDIATELY" into a private moment. Another fan even asked, "when’s the wedding?" on X.
One fan on Instagram theorized in the comments that "this will be the last Chicken Shop Date episode since they are obviously meant for each other and will never date anyone else again."
In her viral interview series, Dimoldenberg sits down on a "date" with celebrities at a local chicken shop, where they discuss their upcoming projects and engage in a fun conversation with one another. She has previously hosted dates with Paul Mescal, Billie Eilish and Cher, among many others, but her date with Garfield has been highly anticipated given their flirty history.
The Chicken Shop Date host first interviewed Garfield at GQ's Men of the Year Awards in November 2022, where she told the actor that she had been "trying to get a date" with him for a while, referencing her show.

Garfield then replied that he "hadn't gotten the invite" and joked that he wouldn't "feel special" if he was invited since she dates "a lot of people." Dimoldenberg then reassured him that he was "the most special."
Dimoldenberg and Garfield met up again for a second red carpet interview at the 2023 Golden Globes. She first joked that Garfield needed to act "normal" before telling him, "We must stop meeting like this." The Tick Tick... Boom! actor then told her that he "only ever [wanted] to see [her]” before clarifying he meant on a red carpet interview.
The pair continued to tease each other before Garfield joked that he didn't think they "should explore this" because he was "scared of what it could turn into." The interview then concluded with Garfield signing a "best friend's certificate" before he told her, "Bye, best friend."
The Chicken Shop Date episode with Garfield will drop on Oct. 18.
