The Amazing Race Canada Season 10 is starting to get competitive, with conversations about potential sabotaging already on the table in the second episode of the season. As the racers headed to British Columbia, a lengthy self-rescue attempt in a kayak saw content creators and married couple, Dorothy and Olus Adeneye from Calgary, Alta., fall behind the pack, leading to their elimination.

With the Adeneye couple (known as The OT Love Train) now able to watch how this week's episode unfolded, they got a glimpse into how other teams raced. That included some bickering and racers Kevin Martin and Gurleen Maan, who are now dating after being on The Traitors Canada, considering giving another team the wrong directions to get ahead. But ultimately deciding to move on.

The Adeneyes were "surprised" some teams were taking it to that level of competitive spirit.

"It's not that deep, just do what you have to do and let the best team win," Olus told Yahoo Canada.

"I think we were looking at the longer term of things, because we just wanted to run a pure, clean race, not to sabotage anyone, because there's life after the race, and we all hope to build friendships and relationships," Dorothy added.

The strategies of other teams aside, the biggest sticking point for the couple was certainly a kayak issue. Each team was given instructions on how to purposely capsize, and then get themselves back into the kayak and out of the water, but Dorothy and Olus just couldn't figure out the balance.

"We did get the instructions and we were meant to tip ourselves over in the water, which is hard," Olus said. "You have to willingly dunk yourself into cold, murky water. So that was the first hurdle. ... Getting some of that swampy water in my mouth wasn't a good feeling at the moment. So I was really frustrated about that one."

"I feel like we got the instructions right in our heads, but then carrying it out was so difficult, I don't know whether it was the weight distribution between the two of us, who should be in front and who should be at the back," Dorothy added. "It was so stressful being in the water, trying to get back in there and then seeing the other teams come and go, ... but eventually we got it after trying a lot."

After a moment like that, the team was tasked with having enough motivation to keep going.

"We made up our minds that we're not going to quit. We're going to do every single challenge," Olus stressed. "I think along the way we had to motivate each other when we were feeling stressed or down. There were a lot of pep talks."

"I think we also had to remind ourselves that ultimately we're just here to have fun and create experiences," Dorothy added.

While that part of the race didn't go as planned, the team had a "hack" for one of the most complicated aspects of the game, which is the navigation.

"I don't know my north, south, east, west," Dorothy said. "I knew it was going to be hard, but I think the hack was just asking people for directions."

"Just taking the time out, taking five or 10 minutes, asking someone to give you directions to get somewhere is way better than getting lost. So I think that was the hack."

In terms of what inspired Dorothy and Olus to apply in the first place, the couple really wanted to see everything that Canada has to offer in this race around the country.

"We moved to Canada three years ago, ... we're very adventurous so we've been trying to visit different cities and provinces, see what Canada has to offer," Olus explained. "We found out that Canada does have a lot a lot to offer, a lot of beautiful places, different cultures, foods."

"We found out about Amazing Race and we're like, we can travel and see the whole of Canada while being on a TV show? ... Why not."

Now that they're out of the race, Dorothy and Olus are rooting for fellow married couple Julia Viola and Olivia Curto, and Alberta wrestling duo Taylor McPherson and Katie Mulkay.
