Amateurs finish their part of the returning Cape Town Cycle Tour in South Africa

Thousands of amateur cyclists completed their stage of South Africa's Cape Town Cycle Tour race on Sunday 10 October, the city's first since Covid lockdowns began. Earlier, the professionals and elite cyclists had their races, won by Nolan Hoffman for the men and Kim Le Court for the women. The Premier of the Western Cape, Allan Winde, said the event is a kick start for the Western Cape after the struggles of the pandemic. The Cape Town Cycle Tour, now in its 43rd year, is the first major event in the Cape since the onset of the pandemic.
