Allison Holker Says She's 'Found Love Again' with Boyfriend Adam Edmunds: 'I Feel Supported, Seen, Understood' (Exclusive)
"I'm really, really grateful," the dancer — who announced an upcoming memoir on Monday, Sept. 23 — tells PEOPLE exclusively about her new relationship
Allison Holker is feeling the love.
After soft-launching a new relationship earlier this month, the So You Think You Can Dance judge, 36, stepped out publicly with her new boyfriend, tech CEO Adam Edmunds, at New York Fashion Week on Sept. 7.
"It is a new experience for me to navigate this, and it took a lot of time for me to [feel ready]. I didn't know if I'd ever fall into this situation again," Holker, whose late husband, Stephen 'tWitch' Boss, died in December 2022, tells PEOPLE exclusively. "I will say this: I'm extremely happy. I feel supported, seen, understood and fully loved. And I'm really, really grateful for that."
On Monday, Sept. 23, the star announced she's set to release a memoir, This Far, on Feb. 4, 2025. The title of the book, she says, reflects her approach to life over the last two years.
"It's about how I've gone through so much and I'm experiencing so much presently, but there's still a future ahead of me," explains Holker.
After sharing her new relationship with fans on Instagram, Holker received a flood of support in her comments. Still, "I understand it's an interesting place for people to see me in, and it's interesting for me to find myself in it too," she acknowledges.
What Holker hopes people understand — including those who are navigating losses of their own — is that the new love she's found doesn't diminish what she shared with Boss.
"I had such a beautiful love with Stephen, and I still have such a beautiful love with him. But the love I learned has only helped me to be even better in my next love," she says. "I feel like I'm even more suited now in this next step in my life, this next chapter with this new, beautiful man Adam. It's only made it louder and more strong for us. It's not that one love outshines the other. It's just one love prepared me for the next."
As she continues sharing more of her life with fans, Holker hopes to inspire those struggling with feelings of guilt or loneliness to remain open to new experiences.
"Life can be really, really complicated and have a lot of ups and downs, but you can still find happiness," she says. "What I want people to feel is that no matter what's happened in your life, you still deserve to live and be joyful and not feel shame for fulfilling that happiness."
