With all this time spent indoors, has anyone else been favoring underwear as their go-to work-from-home outfit? Hey, we might as well be comfortable. Allbirds is known for its sustainable and eco-conscious shoes, but as of June 18, the brand is officially in the undergarment game with its new Trino Undies collection.
Women will have their choice of styles with the new underwear. There are Shortie, Thong, and Brief options, so you can get your favorite kit. All of them come in Storm, Raincloud, and Nimbus colors, but the Shortie also comes in Wheat and Aloe, and the Thong includes those as well as Malibu and Boulder. There is also a Bralette in Nimbus, Wheat, and Boulder colors for comfy lounging.
There is only one option for men, with the Trino Boxer Brief in Storm, Raincloud, Malibu, and Boulder colors. However, if it’s as good as our sister site Men’s Health says it is, that’s the only pair you’ll need.
The collection joins Allbirds’ Trino basics family, so it’s another way to bring the natural materials into your wardrobe. Trino combines eucalyptus tree material for its cooling and breathability and merino wool for its softness. The result is a soft, moisture-wicking material that was designed to feel good on the skin.
“Here’s the thing, when it comes to underwear, the two major materials actually aren’t all that great — 99% of cotton is grown using harsh pesticides, while virgin nylon is made from petroleum. Allbirds wanted to do better and worked to create their own underwear using their Trino material,” the brand told BestProducts.com in an email.
The Trino Undies collection ranges from $18 to $30. While that might seem a lot for a single pair, that silky-smooth feeling is sure to convince you just how worth it they are.
