Alif Satar clarifies performance in St John's Hyde Park

13 May - Alif Satar recently dismissed the notion that he was performing in an active church for his previous show in London with The Locos.

The singer, who performed alongside the band at St John's Hyde Park in London on 28 April, stated that the place was a former church that has been turned into a community centre.

"It is used by everybody including the Muslims. People also held Eid congregational prayer there," he said, responding to a previous comment made by a netizen that questioned the use of the venue.

Alif, however, admitted that he and the band were hesitant at first, but were assured by the organiser that it was fine.

"The trip was also joined by an Ustaz and I asked for his advice before I went on with the show," he added.

Stressing that he is very sensitive about such an issue, Alif assured that he and the band know their limits and would also respect the place of worship of other religions.
