Ali Lee plays mum to 'teenager' Ricco Ng in new series

20 Oct - Following rumours that she will be playing the role of a mother to a teen son despite not even in her 40s yet, Ali Lee recently confirmed that she is indeed playing such a role in the new drama, "A Type of Good Guy" (working title).

As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who appeared at the costume fitting event held in TVB City for the said drama on 18 October, confirmed that she is playing a mother to 23-year-old Ricco - the latter who will play a 17-year-old in the series.

"I have played a mother several times before, but this is the first time that I am playing a mother of a teenager," she said. "I won't deliberately try to act older because it's reasonable for me to have a 17-year-old son at my age, but I will try to adjust myself to the idea."

Ali also stated that she hopes to be able to spend more time with Ricco so they may both understand each other a little bit more for their roles.

The upcoming series will also star Joe Ma in the lead, but according to Ali, it was the opportunity to work with Yoyo Chen that she is excited about.

"I have always wanted to work with Yoyo. We both started as models, and that I have always knew of her existence even then. I think she has great acting skills and very friendly personality, but we never had a chance to cooperate before," she said.
