Ali Lee confirms "Unchained Medley" departure due to health concerns
25 May – Ali Lee recently confirmed previous reports regarding her withdrawal from the new TVB supernatural series, "Unchained Medley".
As reported on Oriental Daily, the actress, who was revealed to have departed from the project due to her health condition, shared that she would always give her 100 percent when it comes to her work, and would pressure herself to do her best.
"Regardless of the mood, the state of the body is prone to problems," she said.
Ali admitted that she really wants to be in the series, seeing that she has never played a supernatural character before, but that she has to prioritise her health.
For the time being, Ali stated that she has been seeing a Chinese medical practitioner to recuperate.
"I also continue with my acupuncture treatment, but it is still unable to make up for the physical damage caused by high-intensity filming. Some productions really need 24 hours and would shoot back-to-back for two to three months. When it becomes too difficult, I'm worried that my body won't be able to bear it. I need some balance," she said.
In a previous report, it was revealed that Ali has been replaced by Katy Kung in the aforementioned drama.
