1 Apr – Alfred Hui has denied yet again reports that he was fired from Warner Music for a contract breach instead of actually ending his contract with the record label.
As reported on Mingpao, the singer, who made his first appearance in front of the media since announcing his departure from the label, stated that the rumours that he was removed after accepting gigs behind Warner's back were juicy but untrue.
"I have already explained in my previous post that the contract with Warner is over and I wanted a new start. I hope people will not speculate too much," he said, adding that he had never taken any jobs privately without Warner's knowledge.
Alfred stated that there will be new projects and collaborations in the coming months, and admitted that he will not rule out cooperation with other record companies.
Asked if he would work with former agency, Voice Entertainment, the singer said, "I will not say no. I have maintained good relationships with all my former companies."
Alfred also expressed hope that the public will pay more attention to his future development in music rather than unfounded rumours about him.
