Alex Rodriguez Still Happily Dating Trainer Jaclyn Cordeiro: 'Doing Great,' Says Source (Exclusive)
The former baseball player made headlines for a cryptic Instagram that some speculated was about his ex Jennifer Lopez, but a source says it was a coincidence
After Alex Rodriguez posted an inspirational quote on his Instagram the same day Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce against Ben Affleck, some fans thought it was pointed toward his ex, whom he dated for three years before she moved on with Affleck.
"You either go one way or the other, you might as well be the one deciding the direction," the quote read.
But a source tells PEOPLE the timing of the post was just coincidental, and that he's still happily coupled with his girlfriend of two years, fitness trainer Jaclyn Cordeiro.
"Alex is indeed very happy spending quality time with Jaclyn and his family," the source says, adding that he's also as always relishing in being a dad.

"Natasha just started her sophomore year at Michigan, and Ella is about to begin her junior year in high school — both of them are doing great."
Rodriguez, 49, and Lopez, 55, were first linked in October 2017 and announced their engagement in 2019, but by the spring of 2020 they'd postponed their wedding owing to the pandemic.
By March 2021, they announced they'd ended things.
"This has been a long time coming," a source told PEOPLE of their split at the time.
Just a month after she and Rodriguez split, Lopez was seen with Affleck, sparking relationship rumors. She and Affleck officially got back together and wed in July 2022, but on August 20, 2024, Lopez filed for divorce from the actor and director.

Rodriguez, meanwhile, is not looking back at his past.
According to the source, he's busy with various initiatives at his A-Rod corp, including real estate deals, part ownership of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx, and his upcoming show on Bloomberg called The Deal, featuring guests like Billie Jean King.
This fall, he'll also be part of the MLB post-season coverage, joining Derek Jeter, David Ortiz and the rest of the FOX Sports team.
"It's going to be an exciting post-season," the source adds. "He's looking forward to it!"
