Airplane Passenger Captures Severe Flooding in British Columbia

Some residents were ordered to evacuate Abbotsford, British Columbia, on November 16 after an atmospheric river brought intense floods to the region.

One Abbotsford resident was returning home after high winds and rain delayed his original flight, and managed to capture aerial footage of the catastrophic damage done to the area including flooded homes and submerged roads.

Abbotsford Mayor Henry Braun said that small mudslides and localized flooding had occurred in many areas of the city, making highways inoperable and causing several schools to be closed. Credit: Raj Gill via Storyful
