Aircrafts intervene over wildfires in Czech Republic

STORY: Video released by Polish State Fire Service shows in air visuals of the moment the helicopter stopped to collect water before flying over the forest fires.

Firefighters have been tackling the country's largest blaze in the Bohemian Switzerland National Park, bordering Germany since Sunday (July 23).

Local news agency CTK reported that approximately 2,965 acres of the national park had burned.

More than 500 firefighters are working to extinguish the fires, including forces from Poland, Slovakia, and Italy.

Poland and Slovakia sent helicopters to the area and Italy provided two Canadair firefighting planes - each with a capacity of over 1319 gallons of water - on Thursday (June 28).
