Air defense systems a priority for Ukraine -Zelenskiy

STORY: Speaking at a joint news conference in Kyiv with the visiting president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, Zelenskiy also said Ukraine had not yet received a positive response from Israel on the possible supply of aerial defense systems.

Zelenskiy said air defense systems promised previously by Germany and the United States had not yet arrived in Ukraine.

During the news conference, Zelenskiy showed von der Leyen a plaque on 'Alley of Bravery' with her name.

The 'Alley of Bravery' is a collection of plaques with names of politicians and public figures who came to support Ukraine during the most difficult days, Zelenskiy said previously.

It is von der Leyen's third visit to Ukraine's capital since Russia's invasion.
