A series of thunderstorms swept across Nashville, Tennessee, on May 3, causing one of the largest power outages on record and killing at least one person.
Nashville resident Eli Barker recorded video footage from inside his home that showed the torrential downpour matched with intense winds that reached up to 70 miles per hour.
“We ain’t in Florida! This is Nashville,” Barker can be heard saying as the wind and rain whip through the trees near his balcony.
