Aid Distributed in Flood-Affected Sao Paulo State
Aid, including bottled water, was distributed to residents from a sports center in the flood-affected town of Sao Sebastiao in Brazil’s Sao Paulo state on Tuesday, February 21.
At least 40 people were killed in landslides and floods in the region this week, with a further 1,730 people displaced.
Brazil’s National Institute of Meteorology warned of more heavy rains in the state, with state authorities cautioning current clean up efforts may need to be paused due to risk of new landslides. Credit: Felipe Augusto via Storyful
