Ahmaud Arbery Demonstrators Chant 'No Justice, No Peace' Outside Glynn County Courthouse

Demonstrators chanted “no justice, no peace” during a rally outside Glynn County Courthouse in Brunswick, Georgia, on May 8, to mark what would’ve been the 26th birthday of slain jogger Ahmaud Arbery.

Arbery was killed on February 23, 2020, while running in the Satilla Shores neighborhood of Brunswick. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said Arbery was confronted by Gregory and Travis McMichael, residents of the neighborhood. The pair were armed with two guns and “during the encounter, Travis McMichael shot and killed Arbery.”

Video of the incident that emerged in recent days has fueled racial tensions and sparked allegations of injustice.
