Ahmad Idham back to directing movies

7 Feb - Now that he is no longer in politics, Ahmad Idham is back to directing again.

The filmmaker shared the news recently, revealing that he helmed his first movie in four years, which took place in Kuala Lumpur and Port Dickson for the past 18 days.

"To tell you the truth, I really missed directing a movie. So, as soon as I left the political arena, I took the offer of filming a comedy movie," he said.

However, Idham kept mum about the project, saying that the producers will be making the announcement soon.

"What's interesting is that this movie will feature new actors Hariz Hamdan and Nelissa Nizam," he added.

At the same time, the "Cinderella" star stated that he never said he has retired from acting, but that he is still waiting for the right script.

"I am not waiting for a leading role. I don't mind playing the supporting characters as long as it leaves an impact," he added.

Ahmad Idham previously contested as a Pejuang candidate for the Port Dickson parliamentary seat under the Gerakan Tanah Air party during the 15th General Election. He, however, lost to Pakatan Harapan candidate, Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun.
