Aftermath of London grass fire amid unprecedented heatwave

On July 18, firefighters responded to a grass fire in Hayes, London, amid an unprecedented heatwave. Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters attended the scene of the fire, which spread to two fields. Firefighters at the scene said they are unsure of the cause of the fire, but the high heat and lack of rain in recent days led to the fire spreading. This is one of several grass fires reported in London today.
