Afghan Taliban seize another customs post, in Torghundi near Turkmenistan border

The Taliban's offensive to take over Afghanistan gathered pace after seizing another customs and border post early on Saturday 10 July. This time the militants overran the customs port in Torghundi, also spelled Turghundi, Towrgondi or Torgondi, in Herat province near the border with Turkmenistan. Footage showed the scene from a distance, apparently quiet after the takeover earlier in the day. Yesterday the Taliban conquered the Islam-Qala customs and border crossing port, also in Herat but on the Iranian border. It is the latest development in the Taliban's accelerating offensive to take over the country as the US and other Western nations pull out.
